Solutions
Automated tray-based storage that dynamically assigns locations by item height—maximizing vertical space and delivering fast, precise, ergonomic picking.

See It In Action
Watch the extractor locate a tray, pull it from the column, and present it at the access window in seconds. It is the clearest look at how a VLM turns a walk through shelving into a single ergonomic pick.
A vertical lift module (VLM) is an enclosed automated storage and retrieval system built from two columns of trays with a central extractor running between them. Call for a part and the extractor pulls that tray and delivers it to an ergonomic access window at waist height: goods to person, not person to goods. Unlike a vertical carousel, a VLM measures every tray as it is stored and assigns locations dynamically by item height, which is how it holds the same inventory in as little as one tenth of the floor space static shelving needs.
VLMs suit variable-height inventory, spare parts, tools, and high-value or controlled materials. Aerospace, electronics, MRO, medical, and manufacturing operations rely on them wherever floor space is expensive and every pick has to be exact. Inventory software, laser pointers, and LED position bars direct each pick to the right tray location, so accuracy holds steady across shifts, new hires, and seasonal peaks.
Configurations
The ideal solution for the storage and management of small and medium-sized items of any shape and weight, taking advantage of height to decrease footprint by up to 1/10.
An automatic storage system with rotating shelves—the ideal solution when you need to operate quickly and ergonomically in limited spaces. The shelves always follow the shortest route to present material to the operator in the consultation area.
A high-density storage system for bars, profiles, plates, and metal sheets, designed with single tower (MM models) or double tower (MB models) modules.
How We Help
With height-optimized storage, flexible configuration, and high-speed picking, VLMs enable higher productivity in less space.
Dynamically adjusts tray positions based on item height, storing more inventory in the same footprint than static shelving or traditional carousel systems.
Trays are delivered directly to the operator. Add pick-to-light for guided retrieval and improved accuracy, especially in multi-line or high-mix orders.
VLMs excel in operations with fluctuating part sizes and order profiles, making them ideal for MRO, aerospace, and custom production workflows.
User authentication and access controls help protect sensitive inventory, with audit trails for full traceability.
Modular architecture lets you add units as needed, scaling up storage capacity without major construction or system changes.
How We Do It
We help manufacturers build intelligent, integrated systems that keep materials flowing at the speed of production.
We start with a deep dive into your operation—understanding your layout, SKUs, pain points, and goals. Whether on-site or virtual, our team maps out current inefficiencies and identifies high-impact automation opportunities.
